Everything you need to know about Strongboy hire
Description
Strongboy Hire Prop Head Wall Supports Strongboys brackets, or prop heads, fit the top of acrow props, and they are designed to support walls when fitting lintels, RSJs or beams. You hammer the blade of the strongboy into a raked mortar joint. Along with acrow props, they support the load's weight so that the masonry below can be removed. Strongboys weigh 6.5kg, with a support span of up to 900mm, and a maximum safe load of 340kg. The 'tongue' of the prop head must be inserted into the wall at least the width of one brick, and you must ensure that enough strongboys and props are used to distribute the weight and take the load safely. You must check the condition of all of the prop heads and props before you use them, and if you find a fault or suspect a fault, do not use them. Instead, seek a replacement. Only remove the props if you are sure that the wall no longer needs them as support. If you do not understand how to use them, then do not use them.
