For those of you where the electric log splitter 8 tonnes of power is not enough we have the petrol log splitter for hire, putting out a huge 10 tonnes of force, giving you the capability of splitting a 450mm long log and there's no width constriction as to how big you want to go.  The ease of placing them anywhere is a good reason to hire one too, you don't need a power source, so you could be in a field, woods, paddock etc. and still operate these machines.

You can get one of these splitters nationwide, they're fairly readily available, easy to operate, a good old reliable Honda engine (for those who want the tech spec its a 6.5hp GX200 engine, it wouldn't move your car very much, but it sure splits logs with ease)

These petrol log splitters are heavy duty upright machines. With a specially forged hardened splitting wedge with a double chamfer, to give the best splitting action available on the market. 

For the all important safety aspect, all hydraulic pipes are covered in anti burst lagging and both hands are required on the lever to operate the ram. 

With a full cycle time of under ten seconds (4 seconds faster than the electric 8 tonne model), you can split large amounts of wood in no time at all.

Using one of these log splitters is easy and straightforward. 

Simply place the wood on to the splitter bed, pull the lever, and the hydraulic arm harnesses its 10 tonnes of power to slice the splitting blade through the log and break it into two separate pieces. 

Once the log has been split, the hydraulic arm resets and is ready to go again. Due to their large wheels, these machines can be wheeled around a site and used wherever they are needed - from the back garden to the paddock beside the wood shed.
