This Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) is an essential piece of equipment for use before the start of an excavation or any dig to avoid striking a buried utility. The CAT can effectively detect underground piping, cables, and utilities, removing the risk of damaging the piping and avoiding the need for costly repairs and delays, or personal injuries. You can this cable avoiding tool to detect electricity cables, data and telecomms cables, conductive pipes including steel and cast iron, and more. This allows you to map out the location of the cables and plan the excavation more efficiently. This tool offers a depth range of three metres for power and two metres for radio frequencies. It also has an ingress protection rating of IP54 and a backlit LCD to make use in porr conditions easier.
